In reply to R. I’m so glad you thought the blondie was good!! Since different ovens bake at different rates, to play it safe, I would check for doneness early as well. I’m just wondering...did you level off the leavening and the flour when measuring? Precise measuring also make the blondies fudgy rather than cakey. Thank you for stopping by and commenting!!

In reply to In Good Flavor. Loved the concept of apple butter in the blondies, mine were also a bit too cakey and the bake time is way too long, would start checking for doneness at 35-40 minutes. Still yummy though! Thanks for the recipe!

Thank you Stacey! The blondies were a bit caky until I reduced the leavening and the volume. It makes such a difference.
