These amazing baked donuts, jam-packed with Oreos, covered with a white chocolate glaze, and garnished with Oreo crumbs are quick and easy to make. Great for breakfast!
The days on the calendar are flying by: Christmas is around the corner. I celebrate it. I give and receive presents. I host a couple of get-togethers. Honestly though, none of it gives me a sense of the true meaning of Christmas. As with every year, my personal Christmas comes when I remove a little child’s name from a giving tree.
This year, I picked a ten year old boy. He asked not for electronics or video games or brand name items. Children who ask for these items absolutely deserve what they wish for, but the ones that request coats or boots or inexpensive toys especially touch my heart. These are the ones that I choose. This boy requested finger skating boards, a cost of mere dollars. I hope that he will be more than happy with what he will receive this Christmas. And I hope that all the children whose names on that tree and all of the other giving trees get what they want.
Compared to many others who contribute so much more of their resource, time, and energy to the needy, my little gesture is trivial. But it is my way of expressing gratitude for my good fortune during the time of year that could be described as excessive. I don’t have everything that I want, but I never lack what I need. For that, I am thankful.
This week’s recipe is my latest creation, Oreo donuts. Jam-packed with Oreos, covered with a white chocolate glaze, and garnished with Oreo crumbs, these donuts are a perfect treat for Christmas or New Year morning. (How about making some for Santa this Christmas Eve?) They will definitely be a hit!
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Ingredients
For the glaze:
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Generously coat 2 donut pans with cooking spray.
- Combine flour, 2/3 cups of ground Oreos, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a medium bowl. Whisk and set aside. In a small bowl, beat egg, butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Add to dry and whisk until well blended. Gently fold in Oreo chunks using a rubber spatula.
- Spoon the batter into donut molds, filling each no more than three-quarters full. Bake for about 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool for 5 minutes. Unmold donuts.
- For the glaze, place milk and white chocolate into a microwaveable bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds. Stir content. Repeat microwaving at 15 second intervals and stirring until chocolate is smooth.
- Spoon glaze over donut and immediately sprinkle on some of the reserved ground Oreos. Repeat glazing and sprinkling until all of donuts are decorated.
- Makes 12 donuts.
